Animal Rights Awareness Week is a time to promote the rights and welfare of animals and remember those animals that have been hurt or lost their lives to cruelty and neglect.
Here are a few things you can do to help in the fight for animal rights and protections.
Buy Cruelty Free Products.
Eat Vegan or commit to eating organic,
free range meat and dairy products.
Don't buy/wear fur products.
Spay/Neuter your pet to prevent pet overpopulation and euthanasia.
Adopt your pets from shelters/rescue groups; don't
buy from pet stores or breeders.
Support local/worldwide conservation and preservation efforts.
Support your local animal shelter and rescue
groups with donations or volunteering.
Report animal cruelty/neglect to proper authorities.
Support legislation that's aimed at
cruelty and neglect.
Help educate friends, family and others in your
community about animal rights and welfare.
Make sure you are familiar with your local and state
laws regarding animal cruelty and welfare.
